Vegan Aphrodisiacs
Here are the printable replies we got when we asked vegans what their favourite aphrodisiacs were...
"You can't beat alcohol and chocolate."
"On the
other hand any well prepared vegan food in a restaurant can be
recommended. You don't have to use all your energy shopping,
cooking, washing up etc."
"Aphrodisiac? Food that is sensual in itself ... Off the
top of my head - young asparagus, dark gooey (boozy) chocolate
anything, marzipan, my husband's apple and marzipan tart -
most amazing! Cherries dipped in dark chocolate. Creamy
avocado? Roasted aubergine that melts in your mouth. can't
think of more now... I love almost all vegan food. "
"Even a hearty thick soup lends for a cosy, snuggled
up evening by the fire?!"
"Anything with chocolate!!!!"
"Tomato sauce, fresh basil leaves on top, with pasta -
Glass of expensive Sancerre wine. And to be served by a good
looking naked waiter."
"Perhaps a box of vegan violet
chocolates after."
"Off the top of my head I can't think of anything specific, except that sharing a meal with someone you love, sitting opposite each other at a table narrow enough so you can hold hands while eating using only one hand, or between courses, gazing into each other's eyes, while wearing something you feel good in and you know you look good in & the other person thinks you look good in, not rushing the meal because you feel you have the rest of your lives to make love to each other ............ But, if it has to be food, then how about a big piece of nice squidgy chocolate cake with vanilla Swedish glace?"
"Ripe avocado sliced with a spicy fruit coulis, as a
starter. I will keep a report on the aphrodisiac state of things but
I have to say Green and Black's hot chocolate made with
organic soya milk with molasses in does it for me every
time!!!!!!!
